Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- Fever, new cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat or runny nose
If you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19:
- Stay home when possible and practice physical distancing (stay 2 metres apart from anyone outside your household)
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19:
- Return home immediately and self-isolate for 14 days. Seek clinical assessment using one of these four options:
- Complete an online self-assessment
- Contact your primary care provider by phone
Anyone you have been in close contact with while you had symptoms and in the 48 hours before your symptoms started should also immediately self-isolate for 14 days. A close contact is a person who:
- lived with or had close, prolonged contact with the individual experiencing symptoms, or
- provided care for the individual experiencing symptoms, including healthcare workers, family members or other caregivers, or
- had other similar close physical contact
If you are in medical distress and need urgent care, call 911 and let them know you are self-isolating because of COVID-19.
